Hysteresis Motor
A hysteresis motor is a kind of synchronous motor that relies on the hysteresis phenomenon present in magnetic materials to function. It is a single-phase motor that is recognized for its steady, consistent speed and minimal noise levels. The hysteresis motor is composed of a rotor that is constructed of a magnetic material with high retentivity and a stator that features a rotating magnetic field.
The rotor is engineered to possess a high hysteresis loss, and the magnetic flux generated in the rotor by the stator's rotating magnetic field causes it to rotate at the same rate.
