Wind Power Plant
Wind power plant act as an alternate source of electrical energy apart from other conventional plants. The wind power plant utilizes the kinetic energy possessed by the wind to produce electricity. These plants consist of turbines that rotate as and when the wind hits the blades of the turbine. The rotation of turbines further drives the generator that generates electricity. Now this power from various turbines is combined in a substation and collectively fed to a power grid.
Wind power plants can range in size from a few turbines to as large as hundreds of them and they have the provision to be located either on land or on seashore. Due to their eco-friendly operation and using renewable sources for their generation, wind power plants are gaining much importance compared to other plants.
